This house belonged to one of the founder of the university of Tehran who dedicated his lifetime on learning and teaching. He and his wife after finishing their studies in France came back to Iran and stayed at this house. They had no children so dedicated their lives to university of Tehran. Every single part of this house includes a masterpiece collected by them from different part of Iran and in different architectural designs. There you face a festival of architectures and antiques.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This house in the heart of old Tehran close to Hassanabad square touches every tourist\u2019s heart. Moghadam museum which used to be a luxurious house in Qajar era (19th<\/sup> century) belonging to Mohammad Taghi Khan Ehtesabolmolk. He had two sons; Hassan and Mohsen, who were sent to France to study. Hassan died after his excavations in Egypt and Mohsen came back to Iran with his wife after finishing his education. They settled down in this house to establish and found a fantastic museum in Tehran.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This couple, besides teaching and scientific researches, started collecting antique things from everywhere they could. Later in 1972 they dedicated this house to the University of Tehran. After their death in 80s as they had no children so this house was under the control of this university. Today you can visit both outdoor and indoor yards including outdoor building, guest room, library, tower, Qajar Evan, Japanese pool, northern building, underground, winter hall, yard etc. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This museum is so special due to its architecture which is a combination of Iranian traditional and international architectures which was done by master Moghadam himself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Something you visit there is the result of the struggle of a couple who dedicated their lives to culture and they even did not give birth. If you wanted to visit a different museum with deep and rich culture so go there.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To visit there you can go to Hassan Abaad subway station then take Imamkhomeini Street towards west (Valiasr Street) and just after five minutes walking you find this museum on the right side of the street. \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
