Fourteen hours from the capital of Iran towards south there is a big province with five million population in which there are prominent fabulous historical sites from ancient Persia to modern Iran; a region used to be called Persia long time ago whose kings could rule the whole world and found the first biggest empire ever whose borders were from north Africa to China and from Greece to Saudi Arabia. This empire was called Achaemenian which ruled the world for more than two centuries. Their historical sites are magnificent and their famous city; Persepolis or Takhte Jamshid, is the most visited place in Iran. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is just a beginning and you should know that you visit different types of historical sites from various dynasties and eras. Since Achaemenids, other dynasties have constructed many structures and infrastructures there. Nowadays the capital city of Fars province is Shiraz which became an international city in Zand era (18th<\/sup> century, 1750-1794), has had so many developments especially in tourism since that time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There has been no tourist who does not fall in love with Shiraz while visiting it. The city of poem, love and mysticism with kind and hospitable people. The modern Shiraz undoubtedly owes to Karim khan Zand who developed this city in 18th<\/sup> century to make it an international capital for Iran. He never called himself the king and he really deserved the nick name of \u201cvakiloroaya\u201d which means the advocate of people. He built Bazaar, public bath and a big mosque near his own citadel and developed the city more than before. Even nowadays the old part of the city takes you to the 18th<\/sup> century and has different circumstances from other parts of Shiraz. The circumstances of Shiraz is very exciting and amazing so that you never want to go to the hotel to rest. Beside historical sites in the city, religious places indicate a mystic dimension<\/strong> of this city. Apart from old parts, the modern parts and especially the crowded cafes and restaurants, full of happy and joyful people make every tourist excited. Spending time at night in Hafiz\u2019s mausoleum, praying in the evening in the holy shrine of Shah Cheragh, walking in Vakil bazaar, the smell of sour orange in Karimkhan citadel and colorful flowers in Eram botanical garden touch every tourist\u2019s heart. The history of civilization is totally involved in this region. The Achaemenids led by Cyrus the great and later by Daryus the first could establish a universal empire which became a good sample to benchmark by so many future dynasties. Due to Alexander invasion the Achaemenids vanished but around a century later the Partians risen to remember the glory of Achaemenids but actually they were Sassanians who could really revive that glory of Persia by establishing the most powerful empire in that time. A universal empire which could even beat romans in many aspect and fields. Even after the Arab invasion, this region was so important but in Safavid era it started to rise again then in Zand era became the center and capital of Iran. Since that time Fars province and especially Shiraz have been always one of the five important cities in Iran.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The distance between Shiraz to Tehran is around twelve hours. This long trip has a lot of attractions and it is appropriate for those tourists who are eager to meet Esfahan also. The flight would be much better and takes you less than two hours to get there. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Generally speaking, Fars province is not an expensive province but there are just some regions in Shiraz in which people are very rich and the expenses are high, so you can experience a luxurious life. <\/strong><\/p>\n
