Sio se pol bridge;\u00a0<\/strong>Another masterpiece from Iranian Armenian architecture which has been standing stubborn and powerful on the Zayanderood River to connect Jolfa to the royal citadel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Siose in Farsi means thirty three and this name was allocated to this bridge due to thirty three arches which were the symbols of the age in which Jesus was appointed to be a prophet or some people say this is the age in which he was crucified. Allahverdikhan; one of the upper hands of Shah Abbas the first, an Armenian man, decided to build a bridge in which the strength of engineering and the elements of both Islam and Christianity emerge. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having 295 meters length to 14 meters width made this nice bridge a place to cross the Zayandehrud river and celebrate Tirgan event which is a celebration and a ceremony to respect water. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the other hand khaju bridge;\u00a0<\/strong>Shah Abbas the second who kept up with Shah Abbas the first in Safavid dynasty, built a bridge with a resort for himself to have something to show off and compete against Sio se Pol Bridge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having 133 meters length to 12 meters width may let you think it is shorter and cannot be a good rival for Siosepol but the great tile works inside of the central mansion in the middle of the bridge beside its great view show you the glory of this masterpiece which has laid down here for more than three centuries. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
