The jame mosque of Natanz:<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the masterpieces of Uljeitu (1304-1316) or sultan mohammad khodabandeh, one of the grandchildrens of Genghis Khan the Mongol (1162-1227), who converted to Islam and presented Iranian Islamic architecture to whole world in the style of Ilkhanid. He built many monuments in Iran that one of those is this great mosque.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Mongols attacked Iran and beat Iranian army and in result occupy the whole country but after a while they submerged in great Persian culture and became Persian Muslims and the preachers of Persian culture. They built so many great monuments all around Iran. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This mosque shows you the simplicity and greatness of the art of that era which is in use even nowadays. The pointy dome was one of the elements that entered Persian architecture from this era.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Mongols were so interested in magic and mystery. They always used to make a connection between their lives and hereafter by chakras. This thought made them build their monuments in a way in which being mysterious declared. You never find out which part is the most important part of the monument on the other hand the pointy dome connects the holy energy of hereafter to the land of the monument. All of the things and motifs in their architecture try to represent spiritual integrity which was a common term in Persian also in Mongol cultures.<\/strong><\/p>\n
