Varahram fire temple of Yazd:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fire in this fire temple has remained lightened for more than one thousand and five hundred years in a contemporary building which relates an old history by its own way.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

After Arabs invasion many Zoroastrians ran away towards east and some of them settled down in Yazd and this temple was the result of the substitution of two temples; the Varahram temple in Fars province whose fire was transferred to a temple in Yazd. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Zoroastrianism used to be the main religion before Arabs invasion in Sassanians era. This religion is considered as one of the most influential one all around the world. It had so many followers and even nowadays has. The origin of this religion comes from the heart of Persia but no one is quite sure about the time its prophet began preaching it. Zoroaster or Zardosht as it is called in Farsi changed all of the existing religions in ancient Persia. Zoroaster (the owner of yellow camel) was the first prophet in ancient Persia who tried to draw attention to monotheism and gather people to pray one unique God who was called Ahuramazda which means the wise lord.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"He presented his book; Avesta, to present a world of peace not only in this worldly life but also in the world beyond this life. Four sacred elements like fire, water, air and soil should be protected in any condition and situation. In this ideology everything should be protected to let the world work as it should do. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This religion considers fire as a symbol of God and an element which purifies almost everything. The Zoroastrians respect fire in their fire temples and Varahram is a remnant of so many of fire temples since ancient era.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inside of this temple besides the place of fire you can also find a museum about Zoroaster, Zoroastrianism and Zoroastrians to know more about this religion and ideology. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
