The Choghazanbil of Khuzestan:<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most prominent temples in the Middle East in ancient time which nowadays has no sample all around the world. This style of temple used to be very common and popular in Khuzestan and Mesopotamia due to this belief that the sky is for the god, so in order to reach him they needed a high altitude place like hills or mountains or something like a hill. The plains of this region required high structures like something we see today there which is called Choghazanbil.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Chogha in local language means upside down and Zanbil means a kind of Persian container. The local people call this structure Choghazanbil as it looks like an upside down container. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Here used to be the greatest temple of Elamaites and was built by Untashgal; the emperor of Elam, and dedicated to his wife to praise and pray the God of Inshushinak. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The amazing point about this building is that the floors are connected to each other but the weight of each of them is not on any other floors. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Most of the excavations in this region have been done by Japanese archeologist not only to know more about Elamaites but also to save and restore this special temple.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"You should know that this region had used to be a sacred and holy place to build temples for different Gods and Goddesses more than three thousand years ago and long time before building and constructing Choghazanbil. Untashgal wanted to build the best temple he could build in the holiest place all around Elam, a place full of peace and spiritual integrity just beside a colorful nature. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Today you visit too many bricks which show you a nice temple far from luxury although in old times the glazed bricks as a fine coverage let the building shine under the sun and attract pilgrims from all around the empire to praise the God of Inshishinak in a place which is nowadays called Hafttapeh. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
