Rudkhan castle:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rudkhan castle or Ghaleh Rudkhan; An untouched castle on top of the mountains in Fuman which dates back to Parthians era (247\u00a0BC to 224\u00a0AD) that have been also used by other dynasties even in Islamic period. While visiting there you may feel being in an English castle than an Iranian one due to the weather besides its structure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To reach this castle on the top of jungle you should take more than a thousand steps which is a breathtaking journey. But when reach it you find out it is really worth to do so. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Many believe that the establishment of this castle dates back to the end of Sassanid Empire when the Arabs invaded Persia and the last resisting part was considered north of Persian plateau which was the golden target for Arabs in which they could have the green unlimited fertility and beautiful women that had been presented to them as paradise in holy Quran. <\/strong><\/p>\n

After those resistances in Gilan and the conquest of Arabs in tenth century the Ismailis who had many shelters and untouchable castles in Persia, used this one as a governing place over Gilan. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The castle is built on two tips of a mount, with an area of 2.6 hectares (6.4 acres). Its architects have benefited from natural mountainous features in the construction of the fort to beat the enemies much easier.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rud in Farsi means river and people has always called this castle Ghale Rudkhan due to the river which passes nearby. <\/strong><\/p>\n

To visit this fabulous castle you should go about 25 kilometers towards southwest of the city of Fuman. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
