The building dates back to late nineteenth century which belonged to Mirza Hassan Kasmaei, one of the soldiers of Mirza kuchak khan. It was bought by culture ministry in 70s and changed into a museum. This museum presents the history and culture of Gilan in two segments of archeology and ethnology.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The province of Gilan has a long history of civilization and this museum tries to show you how complicated and developed its civilization used to be more than four thousand years ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Due to the great nature of Gilan, most of the people pay attention to its nature and many of them do not know a lot about the history of this province very well that\u2019s why visiting this museum help people very much know about the cultural and archaeological\u00a0aspect of Gilan. <\/b><\/p>\n

This museum includes two sections which present ethnology and archaeology\u00a0aspects of Gilan province. On the first floor you visit different clothes and generally the life style of people in Gilan. Right after getting familiar with the people of Gilan you can go to the underground and visit so many antiques from even five thousand years ago to let you know more about the history and culture of Gilan.<\/b><\/p>\n
