In the middle of the road from Zanjan to Takab there is a huge natural pool which hosts the most important Zoroastrian temple in ancient Persia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the Arab invasion people wanted to save this area as the Arab Muslims used to destroy any kind of construction related to kings and emperors so they said there used to be a place for the throne of Solomon who was a great prophet for Jews and well praised in Quran.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Iranians have always been religious so it\u2019s been more than seven thousand years that the construction of temples and mosques has never stopped. In ancient Persia most of the Persians used to follow Zoroastrianism, Mithraism and the religion of Anahitha. Those three religions were based on respecting and protecting nature and use its spiritual and physical power to live better.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Takhte Soleyman used to be the most important temple for Zoroastrians to praise fire and celebrate religious events on the other hand a place to praise Anahitha; the goddesses of water and fertility. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The great natural pool in the middle of this era having 112 meters deep which spreads 40 degrees water, makes it very unique and special also famous all around the world helped the whole site to be the first Iranian registered historical site in UNWTO after the Islamic revolution. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you enter the area the castle on top of a hill draws your attention so you should enter it then the pool and the remnants of palace and temple take you to Sassanian Empire which brought importance, attention and luxury to this place. The Sassanid emperors were Zoroastrians so they built Azargoshnasb fire temple there as the most important one in Persia beside a coronation palace in which the emperors became the emperor of Persia. The Iranians used to gather there to pray god and praise the emperor and join the most luxurious feast in the country. <\/strong><\/p>\n
