Hormoz island<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the east of Qeshm island there is one most beautiful and small islands of Persian Gulf which is famous for its soil and beauty.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The history of civilization in Hormoz dates back the Mongol invasion to Persia in 12th century. The historians believe the first settlers of Hormoz were the runaways who used to live near the recent city of Minab whose territory was occupied by the Mongols so they found Hormoz island a peaceful place to live for the rest of their lives.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hormoz was named after the city of those first settlers who wanted to recall their real hometown. They could grow and develop trade, excavating precious stones and copper besides fishing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 15th<\/sup> century the Portuguese entered the Persian Gulf and occupied Hormoz to rule the whole region and changed its culture and trade system of island.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nowadays the debris of Portuguese invasion are apparently noticed not only in their castle but also the culture of people.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whole island is around 7 to 6 kilometers, having circular shape, giving the tourist a great opportunity to visit the island in less than 6 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main landmarks in Hormoz are the Portuguese castle, silver beach, salty cave, the valley of silence, the valley of rainbow and the valley of statues.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In silver beach you face an extraordinary silver sandy beach which takes you to heaven and brings you a nice experience. Just wash your hands in sea and put them into the sands then the sun shows you the beauty of silver sands just close to the copper mine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In salty cave you face white walls which are covered by salt which look like ice and this breathtaking scenery is something weird in Iran.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The most gorgeous part of visiting Hormoz island is undoubtably the valley of silence in which the natural salty statues; washed by rain, are the representatives of the art of nature.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the valley of rainbow, you face colorful cliffs, rocks and stones which show you different elements like iron, copper, sulfur and aluminum.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Many say Hormoz is a heaven for geologist due to its elements which do not need any excavations and the metals are found almost everywhere and one can recognize them by their colors such as red, yellow and white etc.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The last amazing point of interest in Hormoz is the valley of statues in which different nice natural statues take you to an outstanding view over the Persian Gulf. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
