as the last city in north of Fars province, Izadkhast shows you the first apartment city which was built in ancient time in Persia. its name in Farsi means “By the will of God” proves how important was building such an extraordinary monument in the middle of country. But how is it possible? Why people decided to build such a miracle? and why many historians have ignored it through the ages?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is said that an army was passing there, then was suddenly stopped by an heavy snow. Many of them were killed and the others decided to build an small village. But the archeologists believe that the great architecture utilized there show us a masterpiece made by the Sassanids in order to control the road coming from north to south. The people used to live in 5 floors in an apartment and had their own shops beneath the city which was in a ship shape in order to trade with different caravans and be somehow untouchable against the invaders. Nowadays you can see the footprint of a large river which used to surround the city which is gone completely due to the climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people of Izadhast had a huge city full of appliances and instruments and even public places like fire temple. After the Arab Invasion other conquerers paid attention to this place and in the Safavids era a caravanserai was built so close to the old city. Before the 20th century people still used to live inside this ancient city but little by little they built another city nearby which is still alive and shows you what kind of people they are. You can call them alive history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To visit this masterpiece of art and alive history you should take the road from Esfahan to Shiraz and it usually takes you two hours to get there. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
