The Gate of Quran:
The first place which welcomes tourists who are entering Shiraz from north. A glorious and outstanding gate which seduce every tourist.
The history of this monument dates back to one thousand years ago but in 18th century Zand dynasty restored and two prominent Qurans were put on top of it in an especial area. After some earthquakes in the beginning of 20th century those Qurans were taken to the museum and little by little the gate was restored again and kept as an historical monument.
Besides being a historical monument this place perse’ is considered as one of the best places in Shiraz to spent your leisure time due to two parks beside it, the mausoleum of Khajoye Kermani; the poet and so many nice and comfortable restaurants and cafés which do not let you understand how time flies.
Many people from Shiraz gather there to set date and spent their times, eat something, wander around and enjoy the area.
To visit this place you should go to the northern gate of Shiraz or Drvazeh Quran which is famous enough to be found easily.
