The Rayen citadel of Kerman:
Is a very nice citadel in south east of Kerman city on the road to heaven’s door. This place dates back to Parthian era and later on has always been important for different dynasties. After the Bam was hurt harshly by the earthquake, this citadel could attract more tourist than any time else.

Besides the nice architecture which attracts you inside this citadel; the great sceneries on the road going there touches your heart and do not let you arrive there very fast.
While entering it, a small museum tell the stories of this monument and let you know more about the history of it. Using two passages lead you to the main yard and little by little you will find yourself in the royal palace of this citadel.

Every part of this huge citadel speaks to you about simplicity and royalty and takes you to different parts of history.
Just like other fortresses, it consists of the public quarter and the aristocratic zone. The essential sectors such as Zoor khaneh (gymnasium for a traditional Persian sport), mosque, and stable can be seen in the citadel. Adobe is the main material used in its construction.
Visiting Rayen citadel is visiting the beauty of Persian history.

Both informative and thought-provoking, as if my brain needed the extra workout.
