The Alavian dome of Hamedan
The Alavian dome of Hamedan:
A mysterious dome dating back to at least seven hundred years ago which has one the most beautiful stucco work all around Iran is a place you should visit.

The Alavians were one of the pure Persian dynasties who decided to have their own government after Arab invasion in Persia. They tried their best to do so and were successful for so many years as an influential Persian dynasty but most of their achievements were somehow hidden as they did not want to show off also wanted to fight against Arabs and push them back hidden and by politics and partisan style.
Some historians believe that they were the followers of Mithraism who used Islam as a coverage to fight against Arabs and rebuild a dynasty like Sassanians. They had so many headquarters in Persia and this place used to be a graveyard of one the great leaders of Alavians. The construction reminds you of Ilkhanid and Sassanian architecture. The nice stucco works on both interior and exterior walls are the symbol of Sassanian architecture and the way they have hidden the tomb stone underground is the symbol of Ilkhanid architecture.
Alavians were Shias and the follower of Imam Ali the first Imam or leader of Shia Muslims right after the death of Mohammad the prophet of Islam. Some historians guess that some Iranians converted to Shia school in order to fight against Arabs who were mostly Sunnis.
To visit this special place you should go towards Babatahir square, then everyone can easily lead you there.
