Niavaran palace
The place which sometime used to serve Qajar dynasty, in the era of second Pahlavi changed to a comfortable place for the royal family to settle down in, especially in the last years of their reign. This palace is a good combination of Qajar and Pahlavi, modern and traditional architecture. This concept is well presented in Sahib Qaran mansion. Niavaran takes its name from the reed fields that long time ago used to be in the same place. The main mansion which is the largest one, used to be a good house of king and queen and their children. You can visit their life style here; from their clothes to their musical instruments. Another amazing mansion inside this complex belonged to the crown king of Iran prince Reza Pahlavi who lives in US nowadays. There you find some nice collections of prince like books, stones, musical instruments etc. some special photos of royal family also draw attention. Sahib Qaran mansion is undoubtedly the weirdest item among other parts due to its nice special Iranian architecture which dates back to Qajar era and restored by Pahlavi. There are so many scarce ornamentations in this mansion which are not usually seen in other palaces. Another interesting place you should visit is the royal library that shows you so many books were used to be in the hand of royal family specially the king himself. He had studied in Switzerland so he was interested in studying and writing that’s why you visit such a huge and complete library somewhere in the heart of Niavaran palace.
Like Saadabad palace here you meet fresh weather and nature. Many cultural events are hold here to make this royal place more public.
