Negarestan Garden:

This garden dates back to early 19th century which used to be a summer resort for the Qajar kings. Negarestan means the house of portraits. At that time there was a hall full of nice portraits there. Nowadays there are just few remnants from that glorious palace which is under the control of University of Tehran. Here also used to be a college of literature and social sciences in Pahlavi era.

Even nowadays you can feel the soft circumstances inside the complex. When you enter there just on the right side you visit a nice cozy café in which you feel the historical sense of the place. If you continue walking straight forward inside the yard, the beautiful pool draws your attention before you enter the main hall but in the hall prominent paintings make you forget every beautiful things you have met in this complex before entering it.   

It is located in the heart of the crowded city but you find there one of the coolest and the most calm place in Tehran. The access of this place let be there whenever you desire.

To visit this museum you should go to Baharestan subway station then just close to the northern wall of culture ministry a small door guides you to a big special beautiful garden.
