Abgineh museum:

Another achievement made by Farah the queen in which many Iranian antiques are shown that were collected from all around the world. This place used to be the office of Ghavamosaltane the prime minister and one of the upper hands in Qajar and Pahlavi eras, then it changed its functionality to the embassy of Egypt and Afghanistan also the office of Farah and later the house of cinema and now a great museum.

The architecture is a fine combination of Russian and French. The interior design is a special combination of French and Persian architecture. The stucco works and mirror works were perfectly done by Iranian architects and the stairs and the whole plan reminds you of pure French architecture.

You usually start visiting from the right room in which you find out many things about pre historic and ancient eras in Persia then on the left room there are a lot to know about perfume containers and this industry in Persia.   

The nice stairs lead you to Islamic art which is really considerable. Three rooms awaits you there to let you know more about Islamic era and its art especially in producing various types of porcelains.  

Paintings on these products are the masterpieces which are the symbol of pure Persian miniature that are one of the finest Persian art categories have presented very well all around the world.  

After Arabs invasion, Iranian painters were not allowed to paint real faces a real natures so they started to paint abstract items and some of them tried calligraphy. That’s why in Islamic era you visit great calligraphic works and prominent miniature paintings on porcelains and dishes.
