Eram Botanical garden:
One of the best samples of botanical garden in Iran and all around the world that has had this title for a long time.
The construction of this place dates back to 13th century but it has had so many restorations through the ages. This is one of the best sample of Persian garden in which the rivers flow, the plants give you fertility and a nice mansion in the one third of the whole area. Persian garden is a symbol of Eden garden on earth.
In 1983, under the power of the University of Shiraz this garden changed its function to a botanical garden and it is considerable that this garden has been registered on UNESCO world heritage site.
Many youngsters and students gather there to set a date and spend their times and enjoy the circumstances of the garden. On the other hand there are always tourists and families who visit this place in wonder.
When you enter there, especially in spring, you face different colorful flowers and plants in general, a great mansion and outstanding landscapes.
The tile works and paintings on the walls of the main building which almost dates back to 19th century draw everyone’s attention.
Inside this building there is a perfect museum of stones for those who are interested in stones.
It really has a vast area which is allocated to fruit trees such as pomegranates, sour oranges, persimmons, olives, and walnuts. In the rock garden part, a wide range of beautiful sub-tropical plants are presented. The beautiful 200-year-old cypress trees; the symbol of immortality, are globally known as Sarv-e-Naz attracts visitors from around the world to the garden.
