Located in Abbas abad area, this place is famous for the most important inscription in ancient time which made a revolution in archeology and history. Ganjnameh means the letter of treasure because for so many years people could not read the inscription there, so they thought it addresses a treasure.

It is said the Achaemenids hidden the greatest treasury somewhere in Hamedan and even nowadays this rumor draws attention to this province. In nineteenth century many French and British archeologist and historians visited Iran to discover our ancient history. In Achaemenids era all of the inscriptions used to be written in three languages including ancient Persian, Elamites and Babylonian. The Ganjnameh inscriptions including two Achamenids from Daryus and Xeroxes the kings first were studied by French then decoded by Rawlinson an English archeologist who could read the inscription of Daryus in Bistun mount which is the greatest inscription in Achaemenids era. His translation’s reliability was justified by the Greek documents.  Xerexes the first the son of Dryus the great in this inscription says he was appointed as the king of Iran and asks God to protect his kingdom and land and people. In that time there used to be next to the international road from Hegmatane to Sardis in Turkey and nowadays a beautiful resort with a waterfall, cable car, mall and restaurants besides comfortable villas that you can enjoy.

We suggest you stay there over night to feel more the great circumstances which is a combination of history and nature.
