The building of current museum was built around 90 years ago to be the municipality and changed to be the museum around 30 years ago. It has not only 830 historical objects but also more than 120old books. The oldest object; a stony bone tool, dates back to more than eight thousand years ago.
Having 468 square meters, two floors and Qajar architecture beside outstanding brick work has made it as one of the landmarks of Shahrud.
There are so many antique and old things which have been gathered from all around Semnan in this museum. You can show different items from pre-Islamic and Islamic era on first floor and the second one shows you a perfect ethnological museum.
