Topaz is the hardest silicate of minerals and probably the hardest mineral in nature (hardness 8). Its common color is golden brown to yellow. Significant yellow topaz crystals are found in Siberia, and pink crystals in Russia and blue crystals are found in Ukraine, Brazil, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. In Iran, some pegmatite veins of Alvand granite contain topaz. Its effects have also been observed on the island of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
Since ancient time this stone has been used to open body chakras and was very famous among the Romans as the God of sun.
Topaz was discovered in Topazios for the first time in history which is a fuggy island in red sea which is now called Saint John.
The beauty of Topaz reminds you of Diamond but its different colors make it sometimes even much more beautiful than diamond.
